Recorded over a number of years at the live Jazz re:freshed sessions on Thursdays at Mau Mau Bar Portobello Road, principally for use in their archives, the label decided to release these recordings after the sound system at the venue was upgraded and changed the game completely. Originally released in 2015, the recordings represent the vibe and quality of the Jazz re:freshed movement from their extended musical family of the highest quality musicians.
As always with Jazz re:freshed, the priority is to promote the artists and bands that they believe NEED to be heard. However, the vibe and energy of the weekly nights will also hopefully be translated through these recordings - giving you an experience second only to actually being there.
